Enishi, Shien's Chancellor

Enishi, Shien's Chancellor was released in the 2007 booster set Gladiator's Assault. As a key member of the Six Samurai archetype, the card reflects the strategic focus of the set, which introduced new mechanics and support for high-synergy monster groups. The card’s design draws on feudal Japanese aesthetic tropes common to the Six Samurai lore, depicting a powerful advisor figure consistent with the series' emphasis on battlefield command and tactical control.

The Ultimate Rare printing of this card features an intricate textured foil finish, a hallmark of the premium rarities produced by Konami during the mid-2000s. Its design intent was to provide high-level players with a visually distinct version of a competitively viable utility card. Upon its release, the card was well-received by the Yu-Gi-Oh! community for its ability to clear the field of opposing monsters, cementing its status as a staple for Six Samurai decks throughout the Gladiator's Assault era.
