Escher the Frost Vassal

Escher the Frost Vassal was introduced as part of the Emperor of Darkness Structure Deck, released by Konami in early 2016. This deck was designed to revitalize the Monarch archetype, a long-standing series in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game that focuses on Tribute Summoning high-level monsters to trigger powerful field effects. The card was created to provide players with a utility piece that simplifies the summoning of stronger vassals or bosses by Special Summoning itself when the opponent controls a spell or trap card.
