Evil HERO Infernal Gainer

Evil HERO Infernal Gainer was introduced as part of the Speed Duel GX: Duelists of Shadows set, released by Konami to expand the Speed Duel format with themes from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX animated series. The card belongs to the 'Evil HERO' archetype, a sub-series of the HERO monsters known for their darker, more aggressive aesthetic compared to the original Elemental HERO line. The Evil HERO monsters were originally designed to represent the corrupt versions of classic cards, drawing inspiration from the villainous duelist Supreme King in the GX narrative.

The card features an effect allowing it to be banished to grant an additional attack to a Fiend-type monster, a utility that leans into the high-octane, simplified mechanics of the Speed Duel format. Designed as a common rarity card, it was intended to be easily accessible to players looking to build dedicated Evil HERO decks. Its aesthetic design maintains the series' characteristic sharp, jagged armor plating and ominous color palettes, which serve to visually distinguish these corrupted heroes from their heroic counterparts.
