Extra Pendulum

Extra Pendulum was introduced in the Dimension Force booster set, which debuted in the English market in 2022. As a Normal Spell card, its design is centered on the Pendulum Summoning mechanic, a central feature of the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game that allows players to summon multiple monsters simultaneously from their hand or extra deck. This card serves as a utility tool to increase board presence, reflecting the game's ongoing focus on high-speed combo play and resource management.

The card's aesthetic and mechanical identity were developed by the designers at Konami to offer additional support for Pendulum-based strategies. Its illustration reflects the stylized, high-fantasy art direction synonymous with the modern era of the game, designed to be visually cohesive with the existing library of spell cards. Upon release, it was recognized by the competitive community as a niche but effective tool for specific decks, garnering attention for its ability to bypass standard summon restrictions.
