Fairy Knight Ingunar

Fairy Knight Ingunar was introduced in the 2014 Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game set Legacy of the Valiant. The card draws heavily from the overarching design language of the Sylvan archetype, which emphasizes forest-themed, plant-based, and mythological aesthetics. Within the game's mechanics, it serves as a high-rank Xyz monster intended to provide a powerful board-clearing effect, reflecting the tactical complexity of the era's competitive environment.

The character design follows the intricate, high-fantasy art style consistent with Konami's Japanese illustrators, who often combine floral motifs with humanoid armor to evoke a sense of regal, forest-dwelling authority. Upon its release, the card was notable for its distinct Super Rare holographic foil treatment, which became a staple for collectors seeking to complete the set. It remains a recognized piece from the mid-Zexal era of the game, valued for both its thematic integration into plant-type decks and its illustrative quality.
