Felis, Lightsworn Archer

Felis, Lightsworn Archer was originally introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as a core member of the Lightsworn archetype, a group defined by their synergy with the graveyard and mill mechanics. While the character first appeared in earlier expansion sets, its inclusion in the 2020 Structure Deck: Shaddoll Showdown represented a strategic reprint aimed at providing players with a versatile tuner monster that could easily special summon itself when sent to the graveyard by a card effect.

The design of Felis reflects the aesthetic evolution of the Lightsworn faction, blending fantasy archer motifs with celestial, holy-themed armor. The card was designed to function as both a combo piece and a removal tool, reflecting the game's shift toward high-speed graveyard manipulation. Its inclusion in the Shaddoll Showdown set was well-received by the competitive community, as it offered a reliable way to access high-level Synchro plays while reinforcing the deck's overarching theme of graveyard-focused resource management.
