Flower Stacking

Flower Stacking was released in 2016 as part of the Invasion: Vengeance booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. As a common rarity spell card, it was designed to support the Flower Cardian archetype, a series of cards inspired by the traditional Japanese card game Hanafuda. The artwork reflects this theme, utilizing the distinctive aesthetic of Hanafuda cards, which feature stylized representations of seasonal plants, animals, and cultural motifs.

The card was designed to facilitate the complex, combo-heavy playstyle of the Flower Cardian deck by allowing players to manipulate the top of their deck. Like many cards in the Invasion: Vengeance set, its reception among players was primarily centered on its utility within its specific archetype. While it did not see widespread competitive play outside of dedicated Flower Cardian strategies, it remains a notable example of the game's integration of traditional Japanese cultural elements into its mechanical design.
