Follow Wind

Follow Wind was released as part of Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon, the inaugural Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game booster set launched in North America in 2002. It serves as a representation of the early era of the game, when the card pool was limited and focused heavily on simple equipment cards that bolstered a monster's attack power to facilitate field control. The set itself was designed to mirror the cards used by characters in the original anime series, aiming to bring the thematic aesthetic of the show to players around the world.

The card was illustrated with a straightforward, utilitarian design typical of early set commons, emphasizing its role as a wind-attribute support spell. Because it lacked the strategic complexity or power creep of later equipment cards, it was primarily utilized by players building decks during the game's formative years. It remains a nostalgic touchstone for collectors interested in the initial aesthetic and mechanical balance established by Konami during the transition of the Japanese OCG to the international market.
