Forest

The Forest card, originally debuted in the earliest days of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, serves as a Field Spell card that provides a passive stat boost to specific monster types. Its inclusion in the 2020 Speed Duel Starter Deck: Ultimate Predators reflects the game's ongoing effort to introduce legacy mechanics to the more streamlined Speed Duel format. The design leans into the classic aesthetic of the game's initial release, focusing on a straightforward mechanical function that rewards players for building decks around the Beast, Beast-Warrior, Insect, and Plant types.

This specific printing, numbered SS03-ENB17, maintains the traditional visual style established by Kazuki Takahashi's original card designs, which aimed to evoke high-fantasy environments through vibrant, archetypal illustrations. While simple by modern competitive standards, the card is recognized by collectors as a foundational element of the game’s history, representing the straightforward, elemental style of play that defined the early era of the trading card game.
