Future Fusion

Future Fusion was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the 2006 set Cybernetic Revolution. Designed as a powerful support card for Fusion Summoning, it allowed players to send materials from their deck to the Graveyard to summon a Fusion Monster during a future turn. The card quickly gained a reputation for its immense strategic utility, eventually leading to its placement on the Forbidden and Limited list for several years due to its ability to facilitate potent graveyard-based combos.

The version from the Legendary Dragon Decks, released in 2017, features the card with its updated errata text. By this stage in the game's history, the card's effect had been rebalanced to require the Fusion Monster to be summoned during the player's second Standby Phase after activation, rather than the first. As a common rarity inclusion in this pre-constructed set, it served to make the iconic, albeit mechanically controversial, spell card accessible to a new generation of players looking to experiment with archetypes like Cyber Dragons.
