Gadarla, the Mystery Dust Kaiju was introduced in the 2016 Mega-Tin Mega Pack, a release designed to compile high-value cards from the previous year's booster sets, including Clash of Rebellions. The Kaiju archetype, inspired by the rich tradition of Japanese giant monster cinema, debuted during the Arc-V era of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. These cards were mechanically innovative, allowing players to 'tribute' an opponent's monster to special summon the Kaiju to their field, effectively acting as a form of non-destructive removal that changed the landscape of competitive play.
