Gateway of the Six

The Gateway of the Six was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Storm of Ragnarok booster set in 2011. Designed as a key support card for the Six Samurai archetype, it was engineered to provide immense resource acceleration by allowing players to generate Bushido Counters each time a Six Samurai monster was summoned, which could then be spent to search for additional monsters or recover them from the graveyard. This mechanic fundamentally shifted the playstyle of the deck, enabling explosive combos that defined the competitive landscape of that era.

The version from the Ra Yellow Mega Pack, released in 2012, repackaged this potent spell card for a broader audience. As a common rarity inclusion within the collection, it aimed to make the staple card more accessible to players who might have missed its initial release.
