Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit

Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit made its initial debut in the 2015 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booster set Crossed Souls. As a 'hand trap,' a monster capable of activating its effect from the hand during either player's turn, it was designed to disrupt opponents by destroying cards already on the field. The card is based on the yurei and snow rabbits of Japanese folklore, blending ethereal, spectral aesthetics with the traditional creature motifs common in the series' monster designs.

The version from the Legendary 5D's Decks, numbered L5DD-ENA06, was released in 2017 as part of a compilation set meant to celebrate the legacy of the 5D's animated series. Within the competitive meta, the card was immediately recognized for its tactical versatility, allowing players to circumvent the typical restriction of summoning monsters to the field. Its inclusion in this deck set provided players with a more accessible way to acquire this staple utility card, solidifying its place in high-level deck construction for years following its introduction.
