Giant Germ

Giant Germ was introduced in the Magic Ruler expansion, which debuted in North America in 2002 as the third major set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. As a Fiend-type effect monster, it was designed to capitalize on the game's shift toward aggressive, momentum-based play by allowing players to summon additional copies of the card directly from their deck upon being destroyed in battle.
