Giltia the D. Knight

Giltia the D. Knight was introduced as part of the Metal Raiders booster set, released in the early 2000s to expand the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game library. As a fusion monster requiring the combination of Fairy of the Fountain and Guardian of the Throne Room, it represents the foundational era of the game where fusion mechanics relied on specific, often situational component cards to summon a single combatant.

The card features an aesthetic emblematic of the series' early focus on high-fantasy armor and mythological motifs. While its common rarity meant it was widely accessible to players during the game's initial surge in popularity, the illustration reflects the intricate, sharp-lined character design characteristic of the original Konami-produced assets during that period. It remains a nostalgic touchstone for collectors interested in the early competitive landscape before the introduction of more complex summoning mechanics.
