Gishki Noellia

Gishki Noellia was released in The Secret Forces, a specialized booster set introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in 2015. This set was designed to support specific archetypes like the Gishki, providing players with centralized access to cards that had previously been scattered across earlier expansions. The Gishki archetype itself is rooted in the Duel Terminal storyline, a sprawling narrative that follows a conflict between various tribes in a fantasy world. Noellia serves as the matriarch of the Gishki, a faction characterized by their use of water-attributed rituals and their deep, sometimes corrupting, connection to ancient sealed powers.

The design of Gishki Noellia reflects the aesthetic established by the Duel Terminal series, which frequently utilized ornate, mystical, and sometimes gothic character designs to emphasize the magical nature of the cards. Within the game, the card is recognized for its function as a deck-thinning and resource-management tool, allowing players to look at the top cards of their deck and add them to their hand. Its status as a super-rare in The Secret Forces made it a recognizable utility piece for collectors and competitors building Gishki-focused decks during the mid-2010s.
