Gladiator Beast Tamer Editor

Gladiator Beast Tamer Editor was introduced in the 2017 Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game set Battles of Legend: Light's Revenge. This set was designed to introduce cards from the Japanese OCG that had previously been unavailable to the international market, specifically focusing on reprints and new support for various archetypes. The card was created to serve as a powerful fusion monster for the Gladiator Beast series, which is known for its unique tag-out mechanic, allowing players to swap monsters in and out during the battle phase.

The design of the card reflects the aesthetic of the Gladiator Beast archetype, which draws heavy inspiration from Roman combat and animal-themed warriors. As a secret rare, it features the characteristic diagonal foil pattern that signifies its status as a high-rarity chase card within the set. Upon its release, it was well-received by competitive players for its ability to summon other Gladiator Beast fusion monsters directly from the extra deck, effectively streamlining the deck's combat strategy and utility.
