Granguignol the Dusk Dragon

Granguignol the Dusk Dragon was introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Battles of Legend: Terminal Revenge set, released in 2024. This fusion monster serves as a pivotal support card for the Despia and Dogmatika archetypes, drawing heavily from the intricate lore of the Abyss storyline that has spanned several years of card releases. Its design reflects the gothic, celestial aesthetic synonymous with the Dogmatika narrative, depicting a fusion of light and shadow that embodies the corruption and transformation themes central to its source material.

The card was illustrated to capture the dramatic, high-fantasy style characteristic of modern Yu-Gi-Oh! card art, emphasizing bold colors and an ornate, intimidating silhouette. Within the competitive community, the Secret Rare printing was highly anticipated due to its utility in enabling complex graveyard setups and its role as an essential bridge for fusion-focused strategies. Upon release, it was well-received by players for both its strategic versatility and the detailed foiling process used for its high-rarity variant, which highlights the complex linework of the artwork.
