Granmarg the Rock Monarch

Granmarg the Rock Monarch first appeared in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Shadow of Infinity expansion in 2006. As a core member of the original Monarch archetype, the card was designed to capitalize on the game's shift toward tribute-heavy strategies, rewarding players for sacrificing a high-level monster to trigger a board-clearing effect that destroys face-down cards.

The Dark Revelation Volume 3 set, released later, served as a reprint collection intended to make powerful cards from previous expansions more accessible to the player base.
