Grave Ohja

Grave Ohja was originally released in the Japanese set Pharaonic Guardian in 2003 before being brought to Western markets in the Dark Revelation Volume 3 compilation set in 2006. As an effect monster, it was designed to support zombie-themed decks by allowing players to special summon a zombie-type monster from the graveyard when the card destroys an opponent's monster in battle. This utility reflected the strategic emphasis on graveyard management that characterized the mid-2000s era of the game.

The card's design features the signature aesthetic of the early Yu-Gi-Oh! era, emphasizing dark, supernatural motifs that became synonymous with the game's creature roster. As part of the Dark Revelation series, this card served to reprint earlier tactical assets, ensuring that players had access to specific synergies as the competitive card pool expanded. Its rarity as a 'Rare' grade card within the set reflects its standard utility, making it a reliable but accessible tool for duelists looking to bolster their graveyard-based strategies.
