Half Counter

Half Counter was introduced in the Starstrike Blast booster set, released by Konami in late 2010. As a common rarity trap card, it was designed to provide players with a situational combat trick that could punish an opponent for overextending during the battle phase. The card reflects the mechanical focus of the 5D's era of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, which frequently emphasized defensive reversals and trap-heavy board control.

The card features an illustration consistent with the aesthetic standards of the mid-2010s TCG era, designed to visually convey the concept of a counter-attack. While it did not see significant competitive play in top-tier tournament decks, it remains a notable part of the expansive common card catalog from the Starstrike Blast set, often utilized in casual formats where players experiment with reactive damage-scaling strategies.
