Harpie's Pet Dragon

Harpie's Pet Dragon was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game in early core sets to provide mechanical support for the iconic Harpie Lady archetype. The card was designed to scale in power based on the number of Harpie Ladies controlled by the player, embodying the creature's lore as a loyal companion to Mai Valentine's strategy. Its aesthetic, featuring a fierce, serpentine dragon, was intended to contrast with the humanoid designs of the Harpie cards while maintaining the series' distinct fantasy visual language.

The Retro Pack 2 release, which includes the secret-rare version RP02-EN093, was curated to reissue influential and sought-after cards from the game's mid-era history. By assigning the secret-rare rarity to this specific printing, the publishers elevated a classic support monster, making it a focal point for collectors who value the high-gloss, diagonal foil pattern characteristic of the secret-rare treatment. The card remains a staple of nostalgia for players who grew up watching the original anime series.
