Originally appearing in Japanese sets, the monster was designed to integrate with the Harpie strategy by offering defensive utility and synergy with other rank 4 Xyz monsters, reflecting the game's ongoing effort to modernize classic deck themes.

The art and design were developed by Konami's in-house creative team to maintain the aesthetic continuity of the Harpie set while translating the dragon's ethereal, protective nature into the Xyz gameplay mechanics. Its inclusion in the Maximum Gold set provided collectors with a Premium Gold Rare variant, a finish characterized by a gold-bordered frame and textured surface, which was received by the community as a distinct alternative to the standard holographic styles of the era.
