Heart of Clear Water

Heart of Clear Water was released in the Legacy of Darkness booster set, which debuted in the North American Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in 2003. As part of the early wave of sets that followed the game's initial release, it served to expand the pool of equip spell cards available to players, reflecting the game's foundational mechanics centered on boosting monster attributes through specific tactical gear.

The card was designed to offer a defensive utility, providing a modest attack boost while shielding the equipped monster from destruction by battle once per turn. In the context of the game's evolution, these early common-rarity spell cards were intended to provide accessible support for casual play styles, emphasizing longevity and board presence rather than the rapid, combo-heavy strategies that would come to characterize later eras of the game.
