Heavy Metal Raiders

Heavy Metal Raiders was released in 2018 as part of the Legendary Duelists: Ancient Millennium expansion for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. This set was designed to bolster themes used by iconic characters from the original series, specifically focusing on Bandit Keith and his signature Machine-type monsters. The card reflects the mechanical, industrial aesthetic associated with Keith’s deck, serving as a Field Spell that provides a tactical edge by boosting the attack power of Dark Machine monsters.

The card’s design aligns with the game's shift toward thematic support for legacy archetypes, aiming to make older playstyles viable in a modern competitive environment. Its artwork depicts a menacing, fortified base fitting the aggressive nature of the Machine-type monster class. Like many cards in the Legendary Duelists series, it was received by the player community as a flavorful inclusion that successfully captures the spirit of the character's original animated deck while introducing relevant utility to the card pool.
