Honest

Honest was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the 2008 set Light of Destruction, emerging during an era where the game's meta was shifting toward light-attributed monsters. The card was designed as a powerhouse support tool for the archetype, intended to surprise opponents during the damage step by providing a massive, temporary attack boost based on the original attack of the opponent's monster. It quickly became a staple in competitive play for its ability to turn the tide of battles and force opponents into cautious, defensive gameplay.

The card features an ethereal, angelic illustration that reflects the light-attribute theme prevalent in its debut set. Created to embody the concept of truth and justice in combat, the artwork depicts a stoic, radiant figure that has become iconic within the game's history. Over the years, Honest has been reprinted in numerous sets, including Valiant Smashers where it carries the VASM-EN046 identifier, remaining a respected and frequently utilized card for players focusing on light-attribute strategies.
