Huaquero of the Golden Land

Huaquero of the Golden Land was released in the 2020 set Secret Slayers, a specialized booster pack that introduced the Eldlich archetype to the trading card game. Developed by Konami, the set focused on three distinct themes—Eldlich, Adamancipator, and Rikka—each designed to explore different mechanics, with the Golden Land cards centered on a persistent, graveyard-recursive control strategy.

The card’s illustration depicts the titular character, an Andean-style grave robber, reflecting the set's thematic inspiration from historical treasure hunting and ancient civilizations. As a Secret Rare, the card features the distinct diagonal foil etching synonymous with high-rarity cards from this era. Upon its release, it became a cornerstone of competitive play due to its versatility, allowing players to banish cards from either graveyard to disrupt opponents while simultaneously serving as a bridge to summon other Eldlich monsters.
