Immortal Ruler

Immortal Ruler was released as part of the Raging Battle booster set in 2009, a period when the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game was heavily focused on the Synchro Summoning mechanics introduced during the 5D's era. As a secret-rare card, it was designed to appeal to collectors and competitive players looking to integrate specialized monsters into their decks. The design aesthetic reflects the high-fantasy, aggressive visual style prevalent in the game at the time, utilizing intricate, dark illustrations to signify its power within the card's lore.

The card was developed by Konami as part of their ongoing strategy to introduce niche support cards that could manipulate the game state, specifically focusing on recycling spell cards from the graveyard. While it did not shift the core competitive meta of the era, it remains a notable example of the secret-rare chase cards from the Raging Battle set, recognized by collectors for its distinct holographic foil pattern and its place in the broader history of Yu-Gi-Oh! card set design.
