Imperial Order

Imperial Order was originally released in the early years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, serving as one of the most powerful and controversial counter-trap cards in the game's history. Its design represents a draconian shift in tempo, as it forces players to pay a recurring cost to negate all spell cards on the field. Because of its ability to completely shut down deck strategies reliant on spell cards, it has been restricted or banned by tournament regulators for much of its lifespan, cementing its status as an iconic piece of the game's competitive legacy.

The version from Legendary Collection 3: Yugi's World, numbered LCYW-EN178, was released as a Secret Rare as part of a tribute set celebrating the original series. This printing features the distinctive holographic finish characteristic of the set's premium inserts, aimed at long-term fans and collectors of classic Yu-Gi-Oh! card art. While the card's mechanics are often viewed with frustration by competitive players due to their disruptive nature, the Secret Rare foil treatment remains highly sought after for its aesthetic appeal and the specific nostalgia associated with the Legendary Collection product line.
