Infernity Barrier

Infernity Barrier was first released in the Duelist Revolution booster set in 2010. It was designed as a critical support card for the Infernity archetype, a high-risk, high-reward deck strategy popularized by professional players during the 5D's era. The card functions as a powerful omni-negate that requires the player to control an Infernity monster while holding no cards in their hand, perfectly encapsulating the 'hell-bent' gameplay style defined by the archetype's thematic reliance on emptiness and desperation.

The card was illustrated to feature the distinct, macabre aesthetic of the Infernity monsters, emphasizing dark, skeletal, and demonic motifs that reflect their lore as creatures of the underworld. The OTS Tournament Pack 14 printing, released in late 2020, provided a common-rarity reprint of this card as part of Konami's initiative to keep legacy support cards accessible for tournament play. Its inclusion in this set was well-received by the competitive community, as it allowed players to utilize a staple defensive tool in modern formats without needing to source the older, more expensive printings.
