Infernoble Knight Oliver

Infernoble Knight Oliver was introduced in the 2020 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG core booster set Rise of the Duelist. The card belongs to the Infernoble Knight archetype, a thematic expansion of the original Noble Knight series that draws heavy inspiration from the legends of Charlemagne and the Paladins of the Matter of France. This particular iteration reimagined classic Arthurian figures as fiery, warrior-mage hybrids, reflecting a deliberate shift in the game's aesthetic toward more aggressive, high-fantasy visuals.

The design of Oliver features the ornate, burning armor characteristic of the archetype, intended to visually represent the union of fire-attribute power and chivalric tradition. In the competitive scene, the card was released during a period where Konami was pushing for more complex, link-heavy strategies. It was received as a key utility piece, valued for its ability to equip itself from the hand or graveyard, which allowed players to maintain field presence and trigger various protective effects common to the Infernoble Knight engine.
