Insect Queen

Insect Queen originally debuted in the early 2000s as a high-level boss monster for Insect-type decks, gaining prominence through its association with the character Weevil Underwood in the Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series. The card was designed to capitalize on the swarm-based synergy of the Insect archetype, rewarding players for maintaining board presence with a power-boosting effect that requires sacrificing other insects to attack.

The Retro Pack 2 version, released later to provide players access to classic cards that had become difficult to acquire, maintains the original Kazuki Takahashi-inspired aesthetic.
