Intimidating Ore - Summonite

Intimidating Ore - Summonite was released as part of the Photon Hypernova core booster set, which hit global markets in early 2023. As a trap card, it serves as a piece of support within the larger Photon and Galaxy archetypes, which are prominently associated with the character Kaito Tenjo from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal anime series. The design of the card leans into the aggressive, celestial aesthetic typical of these archetypes, featuring sharp, crystalline imagery that emphasizes the heavy, defensive nature of the trap.

The card was designed by the creative team at Konami Digital Entertainment as part of their ongoing strategy to provide modern utility to classic deck themes. While common in rarity, it functions as a functional disruption tool in competitive play, allowing players to negate special summons by discarding specific types of monsters. It received a standard reception upon its release, noted primarily by players focused on optimizing Galaxy-Eyes decks for casual and local tournament play.
