KA-2 Des Scissors

KA-2 Des Scissors was introduced in the Ancient Sanctuary booster set, released by Konami in 2004. This set marked a significant era in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, as it introduced powerful support for Fairy-type monsters and reflected the evolving mechanics of the game's mid-2000s landscape. As a common rarity card, it served as an accessible addition for players seeking to utilize its unique effect in deck building during that period.

The design of KA-2 Des Scissors draws from the game's darker, more mechanical aesthetic motifs prevalent in early card sets. While specific individual designers at Konami are rarely credited for individual monster illustrations, the card reflects the transition toward more situational effect monsters. Its reception was largely defined by its utility in specific niche strategies, where its effect could punish opponents who relied on low-attack monsters, though it remained a secondary choice compared to the set's more chase-oriented rare cards.
