Krystal Dragon

The Krystal Dragon was released as part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions Movie Pack Special Edition, which arrived in North American markets in 2017. This collection was specifically curated to celebrate the theatrical release of the film, which served as a direct sequel to the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime series. The card was designed to reflect the high-fantasy, crystalline aesthetic featured in the movie's updated card game visuals, serving as both a thematic tie-in and a functional addition to the game's evolving card pool.

The artwork for this card continues the tradition of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise's distinct, high-contrast illustration style, which emphasizes bold lines and vibrant, prismatic color palettes. Within the context of the game, the card is classified as an Effect Monster, characterized by its Ultra Rare finish that provides a glossy, gold-foiled texture to the card name. Upon its release, it was well-received by players and collectors alike, particularly as a sought-after component for players aiming to complete the commemorative set or utilize its specific dragon-support abilities in deck building.
