Legendary Six Samurai - Kageki

Legendary Six Samurai - Kageki was introduced in the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booster set Storm of Ragnarok. This expansion was designed to revitalize the Six Samurai archetype, a fan-favorite group of warrior-themed monsters that had been absent from competitive play for several years. The set revitalized the archetype by introducing more aggressive special summoning mechanics, with Kageki serving as a vital engine piece that allowed players to bring other low-level Samurai onto the field instantly.

The card features an illustration consistent with the art direction of the Six Samurai series, which draws heavily from historical Japanese aesthetics combined with high-fantasy armor motifs. As a rare card within the Storm of Ragnarok set, it was intended to be accessible to players building competitive decks. Upon its release, the card was well-received by the player base for its utility, as it provided the necessary board presence to facilitate the complex, multi-card combos that defined the playstyle of the updated Six Samurai deck.
