Legendary Sword

Legendary Sword was released in 2002 as part of the Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon booster set, the inaugural English-language expansion for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Published by Upper Deck in North America, this set introduced players to the fundamental mechanics of the game and featured iconic cards that defined the early competitive landscape. The spell card was designed as a simple equipment card, reflecting the straightforward design philosophy of the game's first wave of support.

The card features an illustration of a distinct, ornate blade, consistent with the aesthetic direction of Kazuki Takahashi's original manga artwork. As a common rarity card, it was widely available to players building their first decks, serving as a staple inclusion for those aiming to bolster the attack power of Warrior-type monsters. It remains a notable piece of trading card history as a foundational element from the set that launched the franchise's global popularity.
