Link Bumper

Link Bumper was released in the 2017 booster set Circuit Break, a pivotal expansion that arrived during the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game's transition into the Link Summoning era. As the game moved toward the VRAINS generation, the introduction of Link Monsters fundamentally altered board positioning, requiring players to navigate the new Extra Monster Zone mechanics. This card was designed to support the Cyberse monster type, a digital-themed archetype that served as the thematic flagship for this specific mechanical shift.

The card’s illustration and design emphasize the tactical focus of the Link era, specifically centering on the mechanic of 'co-linking' with monsters in the Extra Monster Zones. Like many cards in the Circuit Break set, Link Bumper was conceived to provide utility for decks focused on multi-attack strategies. While it was widely available as a super-rare, it remains a recognized artifact from the early days of Link Summoning, representing the complex interplay of spatial logic and offensive pressure that defined the competitive meta at that time.
