Majespecter Toad - Ogama

Majespecter Toad - Ogama was released in the 2016 expansion set Breakers of Shadow, serving as a core member of the wind-attribute Majespecter archetype. The archetype was designed with a specific focus on pendulum summoning mechanics, featuring monsters that benefit from protection against targeting and card effects, which allowed for a highly resilient playstyle that defined much of the competitive landscape during that period.

The card's design features the signature aesthetic of the Majespecter series, which draws heavy inspiration from traditional Japanese folklore, specifically yōkai. Illustrated with a whimsical yet formidable appearance, Ogama functions as a key searcher for the deck, enabling players to retrieve spell and trap cards directly from their deck to maintain board presence. Its introduction was well-received by players seeking a control-oriented strategy, solidifying its place in the history of the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game.
