Maximum Six

Maximum Six was introduced as part of the Legendary Collection 4: Joey's World Mega Pack, released by Konami in 2013. This set was designed to celebrate the iconic character Joey Wheeler from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime, compiling many cards associated with his deck and his competitive journey throughout the series. The inclusion of this card served to provide players with a thematic piece that reflects the high-risk, high-reward style of play often dramatized in the original source material.

The card features an effect that relies on the outcome of a six-sided die roll, a common design trope in cards themed around characters known for their gambling-style tactics. As a common rarity card within the Mega Pack, it was designed primarily to be accessible for casual play and set completion rather than competitive dominance. Its reception among collectors is rooted in its connection to the nostalgic aesthetic of the early duel monster era, serving as a functional tribute to the card game's roots.
