Meda Bat

Meda Bat was released in the Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon set, which debuted in North America in 2002 as the foundational expansion for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. As a common rarity card, it served as one of the many low-level monster entries designed to provide accessible tactical options for players learning the core mechanics of the game, which was adapted from the manga created by Kazuki Takahashi.

The design of Meda Bat follows the gothic, monster-of-the-week aesthetic prevalent in the early years of the franchise, emphasizing supernatural themes over the more complex mechanical designs seen in later iterations of the game. While it holds little competitive value in modern play, the card remains a nostalgic touchstone for early collectors who engaged with the initial 2002 launch and the original Konami-produced English card pool.
