Monster Egg

The Monster Egg card was released in 2002 as part of the Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon booster set, the inaugural Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game expansion in North America. This set served to introduce the mechanics of the game to Western audiences, adapting cards that had originally appeared in the Japanese OCG series. The set was designed to mimic the thematic diversity of the early anime and manga, featuring a mix of iconic power cards and numerous common monsters meant to fill out the starter decks of new players.
