Montage Dragon

Montage Dragon was released in the Duel Terminal 2 expansion, which brought the innovative Duel Terminal arcade technology to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Introduced in Japan in 2008 and later to international markets, the set sought to integrate high-speed digital gaming with physical card play, focusing on themes of futuristic warfare and mechanical innovation. The card itself was created to serve as a high-risk, high-reward powerhouse, designed to reward players for committing significant resources to the field.

The design of Montage Dragon reflects the aesthetic of the Duel Terminal era, characterized by aggressive, multi-faceted mechanical armor and a distinct high-gloss card foil finish exclusive to that product line. The artwork depicts a creature constructed from various components, visually communicating its unique effect: gaining attack points equal to the combined levels of three monsters sent from the hand to the graveyard. Its reception among players was defined by its role as a niche but potent finisher in decks capable of maintaining high hand counts, cementing its status as a memorable, tactical asset from the game's mid-era.
