Mystical Knight of Jackal

Mystical Knight of Jackal was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the Pharaoh's Servant expansion before being reprinted as a Super Rare in the 2005 set Dark Revelation Volume 1. The card, based on the Egyptian deity Anubis, reflects the ancient mythological themes prevalent in the early era of the game. Its design features the iconic aesthetic of the Kazuki Takahashi studio, utilizing dramatic, ink-heavy linework typical of the franchise's early monster cards.

The Dark Revelation Volume 1 set was designed as a curated compilation, intended to provide players with easier access to cards that had previously been difficult to obtain. As an Effect Monster, the card occupies a niche in the game's mechanics, requiring specific conditions to activate its removal effect. While it never became a staple of competitive tournament play, it remains a recognized piece of Yu-Gi-Oh! history, valued by collectors for its distinct ties to the foundational Egyptian-themed sets that defined the game's initial cultural impact.
