Number 103: Ragnazero

Number 103: Ragnazero debuted as part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game expansion Crossover Breakers, released in late 2024. As an Xyz Monster, it follows the design legacy of the 'Number' series, a central motif in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal anime series where these cards are portrayed as powerful, mystical entities. The design focuses on high-contrast, mechanical aesthetics common to the series' competitive card pool, emphasizing utility in specialized water-attribute decks.

The card was designed to function as a reactive control piece, allowing players to destroy monsters that have had their attack points modified. Its inclusion in Crossover Breakers reflects Konami's ongoing strategy of revisiting and reprinting or iterating upon established mechanical archetypes to keep the game's competitive ecosystem dynamic. It was received by the player base as a niche but functional utility monster, valued primarily for its specific interaction with buffed or debuffed enemy boards.
