Where it came from
Number 25: Force Focus was introduced in the 2012 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG expansion Galactic Overlord. As part of the Xyz-monster category, it features a thematic connection to the 'Number' series, a central plot device in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal anime series. The design utilizes the complex, mechanical aesthetic common to the era's boss monsters, emphasizing high-level board control through its effect-negating capabilities.
The Ultimate Rare printing, identified by its GAOV-EN045 serial number, is distinguished by an intricate embossed foil texture applied over the card's artwork and border. This specific rarity was designed to appeal to high-end collectors, utilizing a specialized stamping process that brings depth to the mechanical illustrations of the monster. While it saw limited competitive play, it remains a notable piece for those documenting the transition into the Zexal era of card design.
