Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction

Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction was introduced as part of the Return of the Duelist expansion, specifically debuting in the Special Edition release in 2012. The card belongs to the Number archetype, a central series of Xyz Monsters featured in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal anime series. It was designed as a high-risk, high-reward monster, offering significant offensive power at the cost of requiring the controller to detach materials or suffer life point damage, reflecting its volatile, corrosive thematic identity.

The card's design features the characteristic aesthetic of the Number series, which are known for their intricate, metallic, and often otherworldly appearances. As a Super Rare card in the Special Edition, it became a staple in various meta decks of the era due to its ability to be special summoned through specific rank-up tactics or as a disruptive force against opponents. It is widely recognized by players for its restrictive effects, which often forced duelists to carefully manage their board state to avoid the creature's self-destructive penalty.
