Number 55: Gogogo Goliath

Number 55: Gogogo Goliath was originally released as part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL series, drawing inspiration from the animated show's central mechanic of Xyz Summoning. It first appeared in the Japanese set Abyss Rising before being brought to international markets in the World Superstars booster set in 2015. The card was designed to support the 'Gogogo' archetype, a group of Earth-attributed monsters known for their resilience and ability to swarm the field to facilitate Rank 4 Xyz plays.

The artwork features a sturdy, stone-like construct characteristic of the Gogogo aesthetic, which emphasizes defensive stability and earth-based themes. Upon its release in the World Superstars set, the card was produced as a Super Rare, distinguishing it from standard commons. It was received by the player community primarily as a utility piece, valued for its ability to recover monsters from the graveyard and bolster the field presence of decks focused on specific attribute-based strategies.
