Where it came from
Number C32: Shark Drake Veiss was released in 2012 as part of the Abyss Rising booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. The card represents the 'Chaos' evolution of the Number 32: Shark Drake monster, a centerpiece creature used by the character Reginald 'Shark' Kastle in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal anime series. It serves as a narrative milestone for the character, reflecting the dark, corrupted power bestowed upon him during his dramatic duels.
The Ghost Rare version of this card is notable for its specialized holographic foil treatment, which leaves the card surface largely silver and textured to create a three-dimensional effect. This rare printing style, which requires high-precision manufacturing, was aimed at the high-end collector market. It is widely considered one of the more visually striking iterations of the Zexal-era Number monsters due to the intricate, ghostly aesthetic applied to the card's complex mechanical and serpentine design.
