Ojama Black

Ojama Black was introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Duelist Pack: Chazz Princeton set, released to highlight the signature deck of a prominent rival character from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX animated series. The card represents one of the three core Ojama monsters, which are intentionally designed with a grotesque, comical aesthetic to contrast with the more serious or powerful monsters typically found in the game. These cards rely on a unique swarm-and-lock playstyle that emphasizes board control through the restriction of an opponent's monster zones.

The artwork for the Ojama series was created to embody the eccentric and abrasive personality of Chazz Princeton. By pairing a weak, unsightly creature with a specialized support engine, the designers sought to create an underdog archetype that rewarded tactical synergy over raw attack power. Within the meta-game, the card is recognized for its niche but essential role in enabling the Ojama trio's summoning requirements, remaining a staple collectible for fans of the GX era and the legacy of Chazz Princeton's deck.
